Candidates are sought with an interest in the any of the following areas:

• New high efficiency materials for photovoltaic devices

• Physics and simulation of photovoltaic devices and systems

• Nanomaterials for energy technologies

• Technologies for solid-state generation and storage of hydrogen

• Biomimetic processes for solar energy

Applicants should have strong academic qualifications with at minimum a graduate qualification (2:1 or 1st) in physics, engineering, chemistry or a related discipline. Experience in solar energy technologies will be an advantage. Relevant industrial experience will also be beneficial. In addition, candidates should be strongly motivated, possess good communication skills and show evidence of an ability to work effectively as part of a team.

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with a 1st or 2.1 degree from a leading institute with:
 

• Track record of commercialising complex mechanical systems or technology in an industrial setting and delivering technology-based projects against challenging timelines and product requirements.

• Excellent market awareness and capability to develop new market opportunities for technology.

• Very good communication and team skills including leading multi-disciplinary science and engineering teams.
  
  The position will entail making significant contribution to technically demanding technology and product development projects in a technical and project management capacity. Taking the lead in client communications and management. Taking responsibility for best in class project delivery. Identifying and pursuing opportunities to develop new business through individual and team creativity and building relationships with international clients.
